Shidduchim was one of the most powerful and inspiring and meaningful periods of my life. I learned and grew and understood more in those two years than I think I ever had or will again. I'm so sorry that this Torah life experience has become a source of jokes, sarcasm, and parody for you--a terribly unfortunate reaction by Jews caught up in the fraud of the so-called Modern Orthodox movement dominated in the United States by the fakery of Yeshiva University. What a galut we are in!
Gosh, I love people like you who claim to be so frum and then you do lots of lashon hara about other. Obviously you are not modern orthodox and you feel that you can point finger at modern orthodox and make lashon hara about them. Maybe taking one hard look in the mirror will tell you who is fake. I guess you completely forgot about Halachot Lashon Hara and Onat Devarim.Do I need to say more?
This shidduch video is critizing things that people run into during shidduch. It is true that a shidduch is supposed to be a Torah life experience but some people make into a horrible experience by discriminating towards groups. Torah does not say that we should put people into categories except Kohanim. So there is no reason to discriminate on widows, divorced, sephardim or ashkenazim and other groups for shidduch purposes. You obviously belong to that group of people who loves discriminating on certain groups. So much for Ahavat Israel.
Oy!
Anonymous responded beautifully to your comment Mordechai.
What in the world can you have against a video that pokes fun at some of the exaggerated dating rituals that border on the insane these day’s.
Lighten up and laugh a little! It’s a mitzvah! ;-)
Mordichai- simply appalling to hear from a so-called torah Jew- shame on you dawg.
OMG, i can't believe i got a link-to from here. :-P
Unfortunately, Mordechai is right. "Ubemoshav letzim lo teshev" (from Psalms 1, poorly translated into English as "nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful", and more accurately translated as "nor sit with clowns).
Letzanut is a sin. Open your Mesilat Yesharim and review what you should know cold by now.
